BestPrimer AC409 is a very special primer, epoxy-based, two-component, specialized for moisture-proof primer in some specific application cases, in order to increase surface adhesion before application to type of base sealant, epoxy, polyurethane, polysulphide...

BestPrimer AC409 is applied in special cases in wet areas, freshly poured concrete (after 24 hours) or areas that cannot be dried, cannot avoid moisture such as bottoms, floors and walls. tunnels, reservoirs, ditches, swimming pools, floor surfaces of old factories, warehouses, garages...

Substrate requirement:

For highly absorbent and friable surfaces: a minimum of 2 coats is
recommended.- For solid and medium rough surfaces: only 1 coat is required. - For polished surfaces: surface roughening treatment is recommended and rinsed with water before applying BestPrimer AC409.

Surface condition:

Concrete must reach compressive strength: ≥ 20 MPa, tensile strength: ≥ 1.5 MPa. Substrate must be flat, solid, free of surface free water, areas of standing water should be wiped dry with a clean rag. Impurities, debris, dirt, grease, moss, mold... must be cleaned according to requirements.

Mixing:

Components A and B must be thoroughly mixed in the correct ratio by mixing machine in speed of 300÷400 rpm. The minimum mixing time is 03 minutes but can be mixed longer until the required consistency is achieved (the mixture becomes transparent). Apply material immediately after mixing.

Application:

Using a bristled brush or a short bristle roller, hardly sweep BestPrimer AC409 overthe entire surface at a rate of 0.10 ÷ 0.15 kg/m 2 /layer (depending on surface conditions). The second lining shall be made in a direction perpendicular to the first coat. When applying the next coat, make sure the previous coat is completely dry.

Note

Application area must ensure ventilation, avoid rain and direct sunlight when the material has not completely cured. Do not use the material that has expired the application permit.

Safety

Both of two components are hazadous, flammable, therefore, they are required to be placed distant from heat or fire during the execution or preservation. This product can cause allergic to skin, therefore should be prevented from directly skin contact. Should wear gloves, masks and glasses while handling the product. In case of accidental eye contact, wash with fresh water and seek medical advice immediately. Keep away from fire, spark and heat sources when application.
