  • BestSeal AC402 is a waterproofing, sealing membrane, two-components. After mixing, it becomes a composite silicate compound having hardness, toughness, and maximum adhesion, especially non-aging.

Surface preparation: 

  • The surface should be structurally clean, with no cracks, oil-free, and no grease or any other contaminant. All unadhesive layers should be removed and properly treated before applying BestSeal AC402.
  • With the width of the crack ≥ 5mm, it requires to be perforated at least 10mm in width, and a minimum depth ≥ 1.5 times the width of the trench. The cut groove is U-shaped. With the water leaking surface, it requires widening the hole with a depth ≥ 1.5 times the diameter and filling by BestSeal CE201 at the water leaking place before application with BestSeal AC402.

Mixing: 

  • Components A and B should be properly mixed under the right ratio by slowly stirring (at speed of 300 ¸ 400 rpm). The minimum mixing time is ≥ 5 minutes or longer until having the best mixture as required. To achieve an identical mixture and no clumping, A is added only into a minimum 15 liters pail, mixing and pouring slowly B into, mixing until achieving the identical admixture. In the case of using it as a repaired mortar, the mixing ratio of A is about 18 ÷ 20% to B (by weight) to get the best mixture.

Application 

    Use a hard brush or short hair roller to coat the ready mixed admixture on the surface one by one layer (maximum thickness: 1mm). Apply the next layer after the first layer is totally dry (approx.01÷02 hours, depending on heat, weather, and windy condition). In the case of repair, use component A for the first layer, then apply the mixture by trowel after the first layer drying. In sunny and windy weather, it should be strictly obeyed the curing and humid condition of the surface when materials start hardening. Application time is 45 minutes since mixing time.

Attention: 

  • Moisten the surface but do NOT let puddles appear.
  • Minimum 2 layers of BestSeal AC402 are highly recommended.
  • The second coat should be applied at right angles to the direction of the first coat.  
  • Do NOT use expired and hardening material.
  • DO NOT add other material into BestSeal AC402.

Cleaning 

  • Clean tools and equipment immediately after applying. In the case of hardening, use the right mechanical methods to clean tools

  • The product is harmless and non-flammable. Protective clothing is needed.
