Appearance / Color:

 Component A: Milky white liquid. 

Component B: Light grey, dry powder. 

Mixture A+B: Thickened liquid, dark grey after hardening.

Density:

 Component A: 1.02  0.01 kg per one liter (25oC)

Component B: 2.88  0.02 kg per one liter (25oC)

Freshly mixed mortar: 1.98  0.05 kg per one liter (25oC)

Consumption:

 Minimum: 1.0kg/m2 /layer/1mm.

Maximum:2.0 kg/m2 /layer/1mm.

Application temperature:
Minimum: + 10oC
Maximum : + 35oC
Adhesion strength:
≥ 1.0 N/mm2 (at 28 days, on concrete, meet the requirement of ASTM D7234)

≤ 2.25 x 10-13 m/s (under pressure 0.3 kgf/cm2 )

Component A: Component B = 1:3 ( by weight

Preserve:

 In a cool, dry place, avoid direct exposure to sunlight - frost.

Surface condition: 

  • The surface should be structurally clean, no crack, oil-free, no grease or any other contaminants. 
  • The un-adhesive surface should be removed and properly treated before applying BestSeal AC407 

Surface preparation: 

  • With the cracking surface, it requires to be perforated at least 10mm width, and a minimum depth greater than 1.5 times to the width of the trench. Cut groove is U-shaped. Before filling with a BestBond repair mortar, all cement laitance, loose components, mold release agents curing membranes and other contaminants must be removed by wet grit blasting, high-pressure water jetting or other effective methods. With the water leaking surface, it requires to be perforated at least greater than 1.5 times to diameter of the hole and grouted by BestSeal CE201 at the water leaking place before application with BestSeal AC407.

Mixing: 

  • Before execution, Component A and B should be properly mixed under the right ratio by slowly stirring (at speed of 300  400 rpm). - Minimum mixing time is at least 05 minutes or longer until having the best mixture as required. 
  • To achieve an identical mixture and no clumping, component A is added only into a minimum 15 liters pail; mixing and pouring slowly component B into; mixing until achieving the identical admixture, no clumping. 
  • In case of using as bonding/repairing mixture for, mixing ratio is A:B = (0.75 ÷ 0.80)/ 3.0 (by weight).

Placing:

  • Use a hard brush or short hair roller to coat the ready mixed admixture on the surface one by one layer (maximum thickness: 1mm). 
  • Apply the next layer after the first layer is totally dry (approx. 01 ÷ 02h, depending on heat, weather, and windy condition). 
  • In case of bonding or preparing, use component A for the first layer, then apply the mixture by trowel after the first layer drying. In sunny and windy weather, it should be strictly obeyed the curing and humid condition of the surface when materials start hardening. 
  • Application time is 45 minutes after mixing step. 

Attention: 

  • Moisten surface but do NOT let puddles appear before applying. - Minimum 2 layers of BestSeal AC407 is highly recommended. 
  • The second coat should be applied at right angles to the direction of the first coat. 
  • DO NOT use expired and hardening material. 
  • DO NOT add any materials to BestSeal AC407 even clean water.

Cleaning:

  • Clean tools and equipment immediately after applying, before the mixture’s hardening. In case of hardening, use the right mechanical methods to clean tools.

Safety:

  • The product is harmless, non-flammable.
  • PPEs is highly recommended.
