BestSeal AC409 uses in the following situations:

• Eaves, terrace, balcony, floor, and roof...before placing finish coats.
  
• Swimming pool, water tank, flooring, wall, basement floor, toilet, manholes... before tiling or finishing with other material.
  
• Pillars, beams, bridge abutment, pier ...
  

• Excellent adhesion property on many surfaces.
• High water vapor permeability allows the concrete to breathe. 
• Can be used safely in a drinking water tank.
• The elasticity of products has the capability of covering cracks up to 0.75 mm.

Preparation of surface:

• Application substrate must be dry, sound, mainly smooth, clean, and fine pored. It must be clear of materials that prevent bonding, such as oil, rust,… Weak parts of the concrete must be repaired, and plasters that are not well adhered must be removed property before applying BestSeal AC409.
  

Surface pretreatment:

• With the cracking surface, it requires to be perforated at least 10mm in width, and a minimum depth greater than 1.5 times the width of the trench. The cut groove is U-shaped. Before filling with a BestBond repair mortar, all cement laitance, loose components, mold release agents curing membranes, and other contaminants must be removed by wet grit blasting, high-pressure water jetting, or other effective methods. 
• With the water leaking surface, it must be perforated at least greater than 1.5 times to diameter of the hole and grouted by BestSeal CE201 at the water leaking place before applying with BestSeal AC409.
  

Mixing:

• Before execution, Component A and B should be properly mixed under the right ratio by slowly stirring (at speed of 300  400 rpm). Minimum mixing time is at least 05 minutes or longer until having the best mixture as required. To achieve an identical mixture and no clumping, component A is added only into a minimum 15 liters pail; mixing and pouring slowly component B into; mixing until achieving the identical admixture, no clumping. 

Placing:

• Use a hard brush or sprays machine to coat the ready mixed admixture on the surface one by one layer (maximum thickness: 1mm). Apply the next layer after the first layer is totally dry (approx. 01 ÷ 02h, depending on heat, weather, and windy condition). In sunny and windy weather, it should be strictly obeyed the curing and humid condition of the surface when materials start hardening. Application time is 45 minutes after mixing step.
  

Attention:

• Moisten surface but do not let puddles appear before applying.
  
• Minimum 2 layers of BestSeal AC409 is highly recommended.
  
• The second coat should be applied at right angles to the direction of the first coat
  
• Do not use expired and hardening material.
  
• Do not add any materials to BestSeal AC409 even clean water.
  

Cleaning:

• Clean tools and equipment immediately after applying and before the mixture’s hardening. In case of hardening, use the right mechanical methods to clean tools. 

Safety:

• BestSeal AC409 is an alkaline admixture. Two parts of the product is non-toxic and non-flammable. 
• PPEs must be worn while applying BestSeal AC409.
